Healing-Centered Engagement is Anti-Racist
This may not be easy.
Author Ibram X. Kendi states, “The heartbeat of antiracism is self-reflection, recognition, admission, and fundamentally self-critique…” Once you and your organization learns more about healing-centered engagement, it will be crystal clear that this is the anti-racist approach that we all need.
Shifting your organization’s culture to better align with your values isn’t always comfortable. In fact, you’ll probably experience all the feels.
At Deer Park, we are convinced that a healing-centered future is worth the effort.
We’ve Got Your Back
Once your organization has completed the Emotional Liberation program, we offer ongoing consultation to help you navigate the process of becoming trauma-informed and healing-centered. This includes adopting policies and procedures that align with 6 Guiding Principles of Trauma-Informed Care laid out by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Association (SAMHSA).
We also offer shorter workshops (2-3 hours) that provide a “booster shot” for teams that might be facing specific challenges (e.g., intercultural conflict, , compassion fatigue and burnout, or emotional literacy).
